L'Envers is a 100% slow fashion brand coming out with only two collections per year, and products are not discontinued  (unless there's a fabric thread shortage), so they are real timeless pieces and there is no rush in buying.

L'Envers is a small but powerful business

L'Envers run sizes from XS to XL and is aiming to improve to XXL in 2022. Photographs of their products are taken on multiple body types which are represented on their social media and website

The whole story of l'envers is about conservation of craftsmanship and know how, with the aim of transmitting it for generations: They work with ateliers that were at the heart of the knitting tradition of Spain in the early 20th century and that slowly went down due to the fact that modern transportation did not reach their village

They only work with suppliers that are within Europe or are strongly assessed by certifications (materials and people) such as GOTS. Regarding local providers, they know them all personally and do not negotiate prices with them in order to ensure the best living wage and not pressure them

L'Envers ships their products in an eco-packaging. They have been using exclusively recycled paper packaging since two years, and they have taken out all single-use plastics. They use biodegradable compostable plastic over the recycled craft mailers

L'envers was born initially as a knitwear brand but they have developed also woven collections since 2019. For these, they refused to have any material produced and source only upcycled fabrics from French Luxury houses. They also visit linen factories in Northern France to dig into their deadstock. For upcycled materials, L'Envers maintain a 0% synthetic fiber ethos

L'Envers donate to Clean Clothes campaign (1% of their annual profits) to sustain garment workers all over the world

L'Envers is a women-owned business, and 75% women-powered!

L'Envers products are made in Spain 80% for the reason mentioned before. Only 20% of products are made in France for the unbelievable mohair quality there and where our hand-knitted pieces are done

L'envers uses 100% guaranteed Mulesing free Merino wool and RWS wools

All of L'Envers knitwear is knitted upon order: no stock at all on knitwear, even for B2B partners. They require 3 weeks lead time for the production of any product. Their woven pieces are produced in small batches or on pre-order

Nothing is lost, everything is transformed! At L'Envers we believe in zero waste. Every piece of fabric is used. We recycle the linen scraps from our Flora dresses into bandanas. Wear it around your neck, on the handles of your Alfred bag or tied in your hair.

Linen is a strong, lightweight fabric made from the flax plant. It is one of the most historical fibers, and has been used as a clothing textile since 8000BC. 

Linen is a sustainable fabric because of its low requirements of water, resources, and energy to create. There is also little to no pesticides used on linen farms. 

Linen is notorious for durability and versatility. Linen can withstand high temperatures—making the fabric generally perfect for raiding the jungle or lounging on a tropical island. It absorbs moisture without holding bacteria. In fact, it is actually stronger when wet than dry and becomes softer and more pliable the more it is washed. It just gets better and better the longer you have it in your closet! 

Linen is a bio-based material, making it biodegradable, fully composting after it has retired from use.

Linen is one of the most historical fibers, known for its durability and versatility. Made from flax plant fibres, it is a sustainable fabric due to the low requirements of resources like water and little to no pesticides compared to cotton.
