Rhea, is a transparent fashion knitwear project, created by women for women. Founded in Amsterdam 2021 the brand creates authentic pieces intended to last.  Rhea (Ree-ah), stems from the great mother of gods and represents the eternal flow of time and generations, with that sort of responsibility they take their knitwear seriously.

Their packaging is made out of recycled materials and easy to reuse or dispose after use. Their principles around packaging are Reduce, Reuse Recycle. All is FSC certified

Rhea fully certifies the manufacturing of products using NATIVA™️ wool, and ensure ethical standards are met throughout the process. All partners throughout the value chain meet the social-, environmental and animal welfare standards of NATIVA™️. Their next step is working on a social certification with all the partners in their value chain

From the start, Rhea has pledged 2% of sales to Rutgers. My body is my own. How many women and girls can freely make that claim? Working with Blockchain Technology ensures animal welfare via a reoccurring evaluation process and certification. Each NATIVA™️ farmer has a management plan, that assesses feeding, breeding, animal handling & behaviour, health and infrastructure. At Rhea, they are proud to work together with an organisation that on top of the above also provides stress free shearing and the prohibition of mulesing.  To ensure the Farms are kept up to standard, tri-annual audits are conducted by a 3rd party where are areas of importance are rechecked

Rhea ensures 100% traceability with the help of Blockchain Technology. The modern fashion value chain is often global, complex and therefore un-transparent. They consciously chose steps for each part of the process, from the main fiber sourcing, to the production process. In line with their philosophy, they have full traceability of every step in the production process. This way both Rhea and you as a consumer can make informed decisions about garments you choose to invest in. They work with Blockchain Technology as a tool to guarantee traceability and transparency along the entire value chain

Rhea offers a take back initiative for those unused Rhea knits. If the consumer wants to give it back, they organise the shipping and collect the old garment, which is then sent to fiber-to-fiber recycling
