Each of Ensō's products is curated and retouched (if needed) in their studio in Amsterdam

Liseth and Andrea started Ensō from a desire to wear modern curated women by giving clothing a new life. Both coming from a fashion industry background, they decided to stay involved while feeling proud of the products they bring to other women, joining forces with others to pursue the same goal

A portion of Ensō's selection undergoes some kind of upcycling process before becoming a "new" unique piece of clothing

They regularly visit their partners and became friends along the way. More than 80 per cent of their clothes are produced in Europe

To responsibly shop wool, it is important to know that the animals have been treated correctly with no harm, that would otherwise derive from the mulesing practice. This is used to create smoother skin, but for the sheep is very dangerous

Closed ships their online shop orders in 100 per cent recyclable boxes, made from 100 per cent recycled materials. Recycled polyester also known as rPET, is created by melting down existing plastic and re-spinning it into new polyester fiber. This fabric can be made from either post-industrial or post-consumer materials. For example, 5 water bottles yield enough fiber for one extra large T-shirt. This material repurposes existing plastic that would otherwise end up in the landfill or the ocean. 

Recycled polyester’s sustainable production requires low resources and energy to produce, and contributes low CO2 emissions. It also reduces the need to extract crude oil and natural gas from the ground to make more plastic, which is much better for the Earth.

Recycled polyester has not much difference from virgin polyester. It exhibits high strength, durability, versatility, and performance, lasting long in your closet, and surviving expected wear and tear easily.

Garments from recycled polyester aim to be continuously recycled without degradation of quality, allowing for circularity.

A synthetic material. However, instead of utilizing new materials to craft the fabric (i.e. petroleum), recycled polyester makes use of existing plastic.
