Designers Remix is a sustainable Copenhagen-based fashion brand designed by Creative Director Charlotte Eskildsen. The brand was founded in 2002 upon the idea of taking full use of already existing resources by redesigning or remixing upcycled deadstock materials from different brands. Ever since, this design approach has been creating pieces of modern sustainability. Charlotte Eskildsen's strong belief in innovative high-quality sustainable-preferred materials underlines the experimental vibe in the creation of clothes with strong iconic silhouettes for a global audience. Designers Remix is officially signing the United Nations Climate Neutral Now Pledge as the first Danish designer brand. United Nations and Gold Standard certified wind farm project allows the brand to balance their collections CO2 footprint by delivering clean, renewable wind energy that decreases the reliance on fossil fuels. With the core purpose of making fashion better and more sustainable, the Danish designer brand announce to make their collection "climate positive".
100% Recycled polyester

Recycled polyester also known as rPET, is created by melting down existing plastic and re-spinning it into new polyester fiber. This fabric can be made from either post-industrial or post-consumer materials. For example, 5 water bottles yield enough fiber for one extra large T-shirt. This material repurposes existing plastic that would otherwise end up in the landfill or the ocean. 

Recycled polyester’s sustainable production requires low resources and energy to produce, and contributes low CO2 emissions. It also reduces the need to extract crude oil and natural gas from the ground to make more plastic, which is much better for the Earth.

Recycled polyester has not much difference from virgin polyester. It exhibits high strength, durability, versatility, and performance, lasting long in your closet, and surviving expected wear and tear easily.

Garments from recycled polyester aim to be continuously recycled without degradation of quality, allowing for circularity.

A synthetic material. However, instead of utilizing new materials to craft the fabric (i.e. petroleum), recycled polyester makes use of existing plastic.
