Organic Silk
Organic silk is the responsible option to traditional silk, as it allows the silkworm to fully develop and continue its life after leaving the cocoon behind.
The silkworms are fed organic leaves, grown biodynamically without any type of contamination. This ensures silk is free of heavy metals, pesticides and chemical substances.
At Renoon we only accept GOTS certified organic silk that verifies both the textile and supply chain have met the highest standards.
Organic silk production requires low water and energy usage. It also generates low waste and what remains is repurposed and resold.
Organic silk is one of the strongest natural fibers, so you can wear it for years. It is rich with essential amino acids and natural proteins allowing our skin and the material to breathe in complete harmony, naturally absorbing excess humidity.
Organic silk fibers are certified as compostable and biodegradable, and thus can fully revert back to nature.
