Spell has contributed almost $1 million to various Australian non-profit organisations assisting in bushfire relief: $967,833 raised via their Unicorn Tears pre-order collection of sought after archive pieces (split towards WIRES, St Vincent De Paul Society, NSW RFS, CFA Brigades, CFS Foundation, Wildlife Victoria), $15,000 directly donated (split towards RFS, Red Cross Fire Appeal and CFA Victoria, and $6,572 RRP of product to Thread Together

Spell was born from a love of handcrafting. Each of their pieces are intricately handcrafted by artisans around the world who’ve been passing on their traditional artisanal practices for years, helping to preserve this craft. Because of this, their pieces are created with the upmost care and attention to detail, using high quality materials

Spell has partnered with Indian fair trade organization SETU through their bridge to artisans program. Most of the artisan communities across the world are rich with local, traditional art forms, but lack the knowledge or resources to access global trade. SETU works to bridge this gap and provide artisan groups with the necessary resources to share their traditional art and make a good living through Fair Trade practices. This philosophy provides a platform that enables disadvantaged people to rise above poverty and improve their standard of living

Spell's post satchels are 100% compostable and made from sustainably-sourced plants. Their postcards are made from 100% recycled paper and are recyclable, their garments are placed in biodegradable poly bags, and their garment tags are made from 100% recycled paper and are recyclable
