All GRÜNBAG products are shipped either in small boxes made from reused cardboard or in bags made from 100% upcycled material. The tiny pocket for the freight label is made from recycled film
At GRÜNBAG they use at least 90% of upcycled and reused materials in order to prevent the production of new materials. They aim to implement a zero-waste approach when it comes to their small business. That's why they use as many upcycled, recycled, and reused scraps and materials for their bags as possible
GRÜNBAG works with employees who receive at least the minimum wage according to the Danish labor market law, and have the opportunity to negotiate their wages. They are also guaranteed contractual holidays and fair working hours
GRÜNBAG bags are mainly hand-cut and sewn by highly specialized seamstresses. Their products are currently handmade in their own atelier in the GRÜNBAG headquarters. For bigger orders, that extend past local capacity (mostly within the B2B part of their business), they outsource the work to a small group of sewers in Poland
GRÜNBAG is run by a little team of 5 dedicated people
GRÜNBAG bags are produced in Denmark and Poland. Some recycled polyester fabric is produced in China
GRÜNBAG does not launch new collections several times per year. On the contrary, they continue to produce a style as long as they have materials that can be used for it. They choose to adapt their collections to the upcycled and pre-loved materials they can get their hands on. GRÜNBAG's design goal is to design bags that never go out of fashion
GRÜNBAG's core value is to design bags that will last a lifetime
GRÜNBAG is closing the loop because more than 90% of the materials used to produce their bags are either upcycled, recycled, or pre-loved
