Elieen Fishers Love, Peru project supports over 450 families in and around Arequipa with higher fair trade wages and investments in the local community. Since 2005, they’ve been supporting an alternative supply chain where workers are trained to use hand-operated and industrial knitting machines. Workers in the outlying workshops are given one free knitting machine, and additional looms are available for purchase with zero-interest loans

Elieen Fisher's supply chains are thoughtful and varied. They start where the finest fibers are found. The mills they choose have the highest skill—Italy for spinning wool and cashmere, China for silk. Almost every garment they make goes on a complex journey (SA8000)

Elieen Fisher has started Women Together CONNECT, an interactive live-stream experience designed for women to share their voices, draw on one another’s strength and compassion, uplift and encourage each other, connect with other women, and bring life-changing tools and insights into their daily lives. Each ongoing CONNECT session is led by Antoinette Klatzky, Women Together host and moderator

Elieen Fisher utilizes the services of independent, third party auditors in order to monitor and improve the conditions at their factories worldwide according to SA8000 protocol. Their current monitoring partner is Fair Working Conditions, a compliance specialist based in Ireland. Factory audits cover manager and worker interviews as well as health and safety walk-throughs. They include questions on human trafficking and slavery in their interviews when appropriate

Elieen Fisher designs their lines as a system—simple, versatile shapes that will work together effortlessly, year after year. Their clothes are made from the highest quality, the most sustainable materials they can find. And if they aren’t yet available? They work with farmers, fabric mills and dye houses to make their vision a reality
