Since March 2019 1% of all Bower orders have been donated to the Healthy Seas initiative. Healthy Seas was established with the aim to remove waste, in particular fishing nets, from the seas for the purpose of creating healthier oceans & recycling marine litter into textile products. They apply a 2 way approach in order to achieve their mission. Namely, recovering ghost fishing nets from our seas & ensuring discarded nets will not end up in marine ecosystems or in landfill
Bower uses brown cardboard boxes made from 70% recycled fibres, and Swing Tags, Tissue Paper & Stickers that are FSC Certified which means the printed tissue is sourced from a forest & supply chain that is managed responsibly & sustainably. Their boxes are 100% recyclable, the 'recycling loop' is so efficient that used boxes can be recycled, remade & recused within 2 weeks
Currently Bower is made up of just 2 people (Rupert & Fiona, Co-Founders)
All of Bower products are produced in either Italy or Portugal
