ALIGNE is cautious to only work with suppliers that implement ethical labour practices. From everyday workplace standards to ethical audits like SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit), ALIGNE is open and transparent about their factories’ practices and accreditations, sharing informative details at every step of the shopping journey. They work in partnership with their suppliers to uphold working standards set by the International Labour Organisation as well as local employment legislation
ALIGNE offers a wide range of sizes (UK size 6-22) and in coming seasons, they will be extending their size range further to go up to a size 26. They also employ diverse models for their site and plan to diversify further. They fit on both a size 10 and size 16 model to ensure grading and fit are accurate and flattering across the broad size range
The design of ALIGNE's products is contemporary and timeless and should look relevant for a long time to come. Although trends are considered when designing their collections, they aim to produce clothes that will have a long life span and will not look outdated for seasons after they have been purchased
ALIGNE packaging has been consciously thought to be sustainable. Every product is finished with their sleek, branded swing tag, crafted from sustainably sourced, recycled paper and topped with an organic cotton cord. All paper materials are FSC certified. Orders will be packaged inside a box made from sustainably sourced, recycled cardboard. They also use biodegradable poly bags, designed from a non-food starchy tuber (European directive EN 13432 standard) that’s printed with water-based inks
ALIGNE only uses 100% guaranteed non-mulesing wool and their wool products are certified by the Responsible Wool Standard. They do not use alpaca, mohair, or angora
